MSTB, the Malaysian Software Testing Board, is hosting a free online software testing webinar with Dr Naveen Kumar of the University of Oklahoma on Wednesday 7 October 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am MYT. The talk, The Next Frontier in Software Testing: The Role of AI and Quantum Computing, looks at two technologies side by side: one that is already changing how software is tested, and one that could change what testing has to validate. The webinar runs on Zoom, it is free to attend, and registration is open until 6 October.

What the webinar covers
Software testing is entering a new era as AI transforms how we identify defects, generate test cases, and automate complex testing processes. Looking further ahead, quantum computing could fundamentally reshape how we test and validate increasingly complex software systems. This talk will explore how the convergence of AI and quantum computing may define the next frontier of software testing and what organizations should be preparing for today.
From the webinar synopsis
The synopsis names three places where AI is already at work in testing: identifying defects, generating test cases and automating complex testing processes. Quantum computing sits further ahead, and could reshape how increasingly complex systems are tested and validated. Taking the two together gives testers, and the organisations they work in, one frame for deciding what to prepare for today. The hour is split into 45 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of questions.
About the speaker
Dr Naveen Kumar is Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at the Michael F. Price College of Business and Executive Director of the Center for AI in Business at the University of Oklahoma.
