TDC 2.0 in Pictures: Finals Day at Cinema MMU

On Saturday 22 August 2026, ten university teams came to Cinema MMU in Cyberjaya for the finals of the TDC 2.0 Over-the-Weekend Challenge, organised by MSTB and judged by industry practitioners. Each team had 25 minutes to present its test designs, then answered the judges’ questions on the choices behind them.

The results

The top three teams were announced and honoured on the SOFTECAsia 2026 stage at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 14 September:

  • Champion: Shift 2 T.Left (UiTM Shah Alam)
  • Runner Up 1: TestXcel (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia)
  • Runner Up 2: Young & Broke (Sunway University)

Finals day

Teams arrived from 7.45am, and the cinema filled for the opening and the draw that set the presentation order.

The presentations

One by one, the teams took the stage to walk the judges through their work: how they read the requirements, what they chose to test, and why.

Knowledge sharing and the medal ceremony

After the final presentation, the judges shared what they had been looking for in the teams’ work, in a knowledge sharing session for every participant. The day closed with a medal for each participant and a group photo on the cinema stage.
