On Thursday 24 September 2026, MSTB welcomed Nuvia Alliance Sdn Bhd to its office at SetiaWalk, Puchong. The conversation was about quality across a whole organisation, not just a single release.
It covered three layers, each with its own standard:
- People who test. ISTQB certification, the internationally recognised baseline for software testing competence.
- People who write requirements. IREB CPRE. Many defects are written into the requirements long before anyone writes code.
- The organisation itself. TMMi (Test Maturity Model integration), which measures how mature a test process is and shows what to improve next.
Few organisations take on all three at once. Yet each layer needs the others. Certified people inside an immature process soon hit a ceiling, and a mature process with no skilled people behind it rarely gets off the ground.
